living little lives

because we all do…

the story

Every one of these songs comes from the same place: the belief that the small moments and passing perceptions in a life are the things that really matter.

That’s where the name comes from. None of us lives a big life all the time. We live little ones, one ordinary day after another, and that’s where everything happens.

Dion Le Roux

singer, songwriter, Vancouver

Living Little Lives is the latest project from Dion Le Roux, a singer-songwriter from Vancouver, Canada. After a long break from the music business, he’s come back to an album’s worth of songs he wrote years ago, and finally given them the recordings they deserved.

Dion started out in his hometown’s underground club scene, playing in a string of bands that tried on punk, ska and rockabilly before landing on pop. One of them was signed to Warner Music, and as the band’s manager he got a crash course in the inelegance of the music business of that era. The band didn’t survive it.

Always one to learn from experience, he turned to producing and engineering other people’s projects in his small studio. Everything he picked up there has now gone back into his own early songs. The result is the first Living Little Lives album, So Normal, released one song at a time.
